Brian Jones is from Birmingham, England. In 2008, he and his wife moved to rural Hungary with designs of growing food, brewing wine and living the good life. Krumpli is just one manifestation of that journey.
After becoming disillusioned with commercial photography, Brian launched Krumpli in 2015 as a way to combine two passions: food and taking pictures.
Brian's site is the representation of his love of food from around the globe, largely grown on his own two and a half acres. Dedicated to food with no restrictions, he is a firm believer that food should make you happy in the belly. If that means more butter, goose fat or cream, then so be it!
Don’t expect too many desserts though! Brian's dessert recipes come along maybe two or three times a year!
Brian describes himself as a reluctant blogger because, for him, writing and promotion are secondary to the food and the photography. However, he recognizes that all of these components are necessary for a food blog to be successful.
